We are just Librotraficantes trying to do honest work. Nuestra Palabra is happy to keep Sandra Cisneros' classic work in stock to continue to get it into the hands of educators and community members. Originally, the Librotraficantes gathered funds to donate copies to underground libraries we formed during the 2012 Librotraficante Caravan to smuggle back into Tucson the books on the Mexican American Studies curriculum outlawed by Arizona Legislators. THE HOUSE ON MANGO STREET was one of those books. We now carry it online, so we can cross all the new barriers forces have created to keep this book and others out of the hands of our community.
