Professor Tony Diaz, El Librotraficante is the founder and director of Nuestra Palabra: Latinos Having Their Say. He was born in Chicago and moved to Houston to become the first Chicano to earn a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Houston. We are proud to carry signed copies of THE TIP OF THE PYRAMID: CULTIVATING COMMUNITY CULTURAL CAPITAL as it chronicles the work of Nuestra Palabra, Librotraficante, and our community. Do not mistake this for a corporate handbook. This work transforms form to convey the power of our community. It is organized in 6 sections with inter-chapters that dramatize some of the deeper points of the book. They can also be read as stand-alone essays with humor, satire, and heart.
